Girls should have their hair tied back in a bun or other classical style for ballet and tied back in a tight ponytail for other forms of dance.
All leotards are Freed RAD regulation.
Introductory, Pre-Primary & Primary
Girls: Freed Rosie pale pink short sleeved leotard with pale pink Belle skirt, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic, pink ballet socks.
Boys: White close-fitting t-shirt, Freed Arlo navy shorts, white ballet shoes, white ballet socks.
Grades I & II
Girls: Freed Iris lavender sleeveless leotard with matching elasticated belt, pink leather ballet shoes with elastic, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights, black character skirt and character shoes.
Boys: Freed Rowan white cap sleeved leotard, Arlo navy shorts, white leather ballet shoes, white ballet socks, black character shoes.
Grades III, IV & V
Girls: Freed Ivy damson sleeveless leotard with matching belt, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic, black character skirt and character shoes (low heel or Cuban heel).
Boys: Freed Rowan white cap sleeved leotard, Cedar navy tights, white leather ballet shoes, white ballet socks, black character shoes.
Grades VI, VII & VIII
Girls: Freed Laurel black sleeveless leotard with matching belt, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic, black circular chiffon skirt mid-shin length (e.g., Little Ballerina), black character skirt and character shoes (Cuban heel).
Boys: Freed Ash navy sleeveless leotard, Cedar navy tights, white ballet shoes, white ballet socks, black character shoes.
Vocational Ballet (Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced grades)
Girls: Freed Fern navy cap sleeved leotard OR Freed Callie camisole leotard, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic. Pointe shoes when advised by the teacher.
Boys: Freed Ash navy sleeveless leotard, Cedar navy tights, white ballet shoes, white ballet socks.
Teenage Ballet
Girls: Black leotard (any style), black footless tights, ballet shoes with elastic. Girls also doing a graded ballet class can wear their grade leotard.
All tap students need black black tap shoes with toe & heel taps and black ankle socks. Modern students dance barefoot.
Primary & Grade 1
Girls: Starlite crushed velour Bibi dance leotard in Flo Pink, black footless tights.
Boys: Black close-fitting t-shirt, black jazz pants.
Grade 2 & Grade 3
Girls: Starlite crushed velour Bibi dance leotard in Turquoise, black footless tights.
Boys: Black close-fitting t-shirt, black jazz pants.
Grade 4 & Grade 5
Girls: Starlite crushed velour Bibi dance leotard in Delphinium, black footless tights.
Boys: Black close-fitting t-shirt, black jazz pants.
Vocational grades
Girls: Any leotard of their choice, black footless tights.
Boys: Black close-fitting t-shirt, black jazz pants.
Girls and boys: Free dancewear, bare feet. No denim shorts or leggings.

Hoodies
All students in Graded ballet and Tap and Modern and Contemporary classes require a Dulwich Ballet School hoodie, available to buy from us.
New students should have one by the beginning of their second term of classes. Hoodies are optional for children in Introductory, Pre-Primary and Primary classes.
